Melina Kanakaredes

Melina Kanakaredes (born May 25, 1970) is an American actress, best known for portraying the role of detective Stella Bonasera on CBS's police procedural drama CSI: NY, Dr. Sydney Hansen and Lane Hunter and Dr. Sydney Hansen on NBC's Providence drama, and the medicine drama The Resident. She also received acclaim for her bold television debut in the role of Eleni Andros Cooper on the CBS soap series Guiding Light. A few of her most memorable films are 15 Minutes Percy Jackson and The Olympians: The Lightning Thief and Snitch. It is reported that she is making a film adaptation of writer Elisabeth Kubler-Ross's autobiography The Wheel of Life with Vlas and Charley Parlapanides, the pair that wrote the film Immortals. Also, she is filming an upcoming show called Gods & Heroes.
